Top companies to attend GMIT Careers Fair Featured

Over 30 organisations, including recruitment and employment agencies, will take part in the annual Graduate Careers Fair in GMIT Castlebar next Friday, 10 February. Organisations such as the Construction Industry Federation (CIF), Chartered Accountants Ireland, Lionbridge Technologies and Ballina Beverages.

Also there will be Hays Recruitment, Employment Services, Western Care Association, CPL Healthcare and many others, will have stands at the GMIT fair which will be held in St Mary’s Hall on campus from 10am to 1pm.

The Careers Fair is open to all students and graduates of GMIT and other colleges, and is also open to the general public. Information will be available about post graduate programmes and other opportunities in GMIT and other third-level colleges. GMIT will have information stands on all their programmes. Other institutes and universities in attendance include NUI Galway, the University of Limerick and Sligo IT.

Michelle Kerins O’Brien, GMIT Castlebar Careers Counsellor, says there is something at the fair for everyone.

“For those interested in finding employment we have companies actively recruiting for graduate placements. For those looking for advice on postgraduate opportunities and other further study options we will have a number of third level colleges in attendance. There will also be lots of advice available from the various professional bodies.
In addition, for those who may be considering travel and work abroad there will be plenty of information available.”
