Exclusive TV footage and press pictures from The White House, the Oval Office and his historic meeting with US President Barack Obama were presented to An Taoiseach Enda Kenny this week by Mayo TV and Irish TV founder Pierce O’Reilly.

Mayo Healthy Living Month, which takes place throughout May, was launched in Castlebar on Sunday by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD.  The an initiative is designed to highlight the importance of healthy living for all age-groups and encourages you to take some simple steps to improve your health. The campaign supported by Croi, HSE, Mayo PCCC is part of the Mayo Action on Heart Disease and Stroke Programme.

For the first time in County Mayo research examining the mental health experiences of young people, their families and communities has been published.  The report “Developing A Youth Mental Health and Well-Being Support Structure” has been launched in Castlebar today Monday April 23rd by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, T.D.  A key finding from the entire consultation process is that there needs to be a greater focus on nurturing positive mental health.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD and Ireland International soccer team manager, Giovanni Trapattoni, are set to make history later this month as they embark on a sponsored climb of Croagh Patrick on Saturday 28th April in aid of five local charities.  The climb which will be known as "Enda's Trek with Trap's Green Army" is already been hailed as having the potential to be one of the largest sponsored events to take place in Mayo.

The Irish American Partnership has informed Castlebr Fine Gael councillor, Henry Kenny, that it is making a cash gift to 10 national schools near Castlebar in honour of the Taoiseach's recent visit to Chicago and Boston.

An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD visited Road Safety Authoirty (RSA)  headquarters in Ballina, Monday for a ceremony to mark the awarding of Quality, Environmental, and Health and Safety Management System certification to the RSA. The Taoiseach was greeted by Gay Byrne, Chairman, RSA, Noel Brett, Chief Executive, RSA and Maurice Buckley, CEO, NSAI.

An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, TD visited St. Mary’s Secondary School, Ballina, Monday, to officially congratulate students on winning the Taoiseach's Sean Lemass Award for Enterprise 2011. Taoiseach Kenny was the guest of honour at a presentation ceremony during which he presented students with achievement certificates marking their success.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny, TD, has welcomed funding from the Irish American Partnership for five Mayo primary schools totalling $7,500.  The five schools are all in the parish of Islandeady; namely, Cornanool, Cloggernagh, Cogaula, Glenisland, and Leitir.

The Holy Family National School, Glenhest Road, Newport, is to get extra accommodation at the school following representations by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD to the Department of Education.
