The official launch of the brand new Clew Bay Garden Trail by Mr Michael Ring TD will take place in Connacht Gold Garden Centre, Lodge Road Westport on Friday 25th May at 11am.

Anyone interested in developing their own organic garden will be delighted to hear that a hands-on course will be starting in January that will teach you how to to design, work on, and maintain your very own food paradise and fertility hub. The hands-on and theoretical course will be run in 6-modules, and, according to the organisers, who are committed organic growers in Mayo, it will be affordable.
GIY (Grow it Yourself) Foxford is helping people to grow more of their own food and giving them the practical skills to do so.
National Organic Week 2011 will take place from 12-18 September and a number of events will be taking place in Mayo as organic producers and retailers celebrate the annual event. Events taking place during National Organic Week will range from organic food tastings and cookery demonstrations to farm walks and educational talk.
