Achill YFG welcomes investment

Chairperson of Achill Young Fine Gael, Tommy English, has welcomed the announcement of €106,925 for a multi-use sports area at Polranny as part of a €516,977 initiative throughout Mayo to get more people involved in sport.

“Achill YFG have been to the fore in urging government to invest in amenities in the Achill area for young people. This investment is extremely welcome for all Achill people, thanks must go to Minister Ring and the Department for their work in this area.

"It is great to see such a project given funding. This and others like it will go to stimulate work, protect jobs and perhaps create new ones.” Mr. English said.
