'The Country Cats' from Mayo meet Big Tom

Members of the newly-formed band “The Country Cats” comprising Sadhbh Thomas from Tonragee, Achill, and Bernadette Ruddy, Foxford, met up with country singing legend, Big Tom, in Salthill.

The Mayo singers were delighted to meet the Monaghan singer Big Tom McBride at the Michael Commins Reunion concert and dance in the Salthill Hotel, Galway, last weekend. 

The Country Cats who made their debut on the Phil Mack Country Show (Sky Channel 201) are a fresh addition to the country scene. 

Headlining the night were Big Tom, Foster and Alan and Crystal Swing. The success of this annual sell-out event  is a testament to the organisers and country music fans alike.
