The photographic exhibition can be viewed in AIB Pearse Street, Ballina, over the next week as part of the annual Ballina Salmon Festival.
Amongst the visitors to the exhibition was Tony Hennigan from Manchester who was in Mayo to develop links between Levenshulme in Manchester and Ballina.
Tony is the press officer of the Manchester Irish Festival, which is Europe's largest Irish Festival and chair of the Levenshulme Festival which is home to the biggest Irish community outside of London.
An Taoiseach gave his full support to the intiative and added: "This part of Mayo hasa massive connection to Manchester, with people like the Kennedy's (former Knock Airport Chair and owner of construction company in Manchester) and we want those links to continue."
