Ballina councillor wants RTE stars' wages capped

A Ballina councillor is calling on the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Pat Rabbitte TD, to cap the wages of top RTE broadcasters.

Cllr Johnnie O'Malley Fianna Fail member of Ballina Town Council has a motion down for the December meeing of the authority that states: 


“Ballina Town Council calls on the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to cap the wage structure of any broadcaster receiving a subvention from the Television Licence fee at €200,000.”
