A novel idea to promote Ballyhaunis multi-use games area is taking place next Friday, November 4th, at 12pm. Children from the local primary school, representing their favorite European clubs such as Man United, Germany, Real Madrid and Barcelona will take part in an exciting soccer tournament.

All parents, residents and children from all over the region are welcome to come and enjoy the tournament which kicks off at 12 noon in the Friary Field, Abbey St., Ballyhaunis, at the Multi Use Games Area.

As it is Halloween mid-term break, there is sure to be a big turnout of children. This court is available to all and can be used for basketball, soccer and many other sports.

Thanks is expressed to Kevin Henry from Scoil Iosa who is giving his time out of school hours to organise this event. Thanks also to Mayo County Council and the Ballyhaunis Chamber of Commerce.
