There was very good attendance at the Ballyvary FF AGM in The Wishing Well on Friday night last. The officer board elected was President: T.J. Kenny; Chairman: John Connor; Vice-Chair: Tom O'Brien; Secretary: Vincent Kenny; Treasurers: Ann Kenny; Membership Officer: John Dunleavy; Youth Officer: David Walsh and Pat Connor.

Cllrs Blackie Gavin and Al Donnell as well as Dara Calleary T.D. were in attendance. There was a very informed discussion on local issues particularly the roadsworks schemes and the recent abolision of the Local Improvement Scheme with Cllr McDonnell expressing his deep disappointment that the scheme was been abandoned by the Fine Gael led Government.

There was also widespread condemnation of the recent works at Ballyvary Junction with unanimous agreement that the new arrangements will create problems as oppossed to solving them.
Dara Calleary T.D. addressed a number of issues including Septic Tank Charges, Household Charge, Health Cuts and cuts to rural schools.
