Claremorris Fine Gael councillor, Tom Connolly, has welcomed the decision by Mayo County Council to take in charge the avenue leading to the Convent of Mercy National School and Mount Saint Michael secondary school and also leading on to the main Castlebar road.
“This is very welcome news for the parents, staff and students of both schools who use this road on daily basis,” commented Cllr Connolly.
