Mayo Healthy Living Month launched by An Taoiseach

Mayo youth need access to mental health support, report recommends
For the first time in County Mayo research examining the mental health experiences of young people, their families and communities has been published. The report “Developing A Youth Mental Health and Well-Being Support Structure” has been launched in Castlebar today Monday April 23rd by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, T.D. A key finding from the entire consultation process is that there needs to be a greater focus on nurturing positive mental health.
All set for Enda’s Trek with Trap’s Green Army
Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD and Ireland International soccer team manager, Giovanni Trapattoni, are set to make history later this month as they embark on a sponsored climb of Croagh Patrick on Saturday 28th April in aid of five local charities. The climb which will be known as "Enda's Trek with Trap's Green Army" is already been hailed as having the potential to be one of the largest sponsored events to take place in Mayo.
The Irish American Partnership has informed Castlebr Fine Gael councillor, Henry Kenny, that it is making a cash gift to 10 national schools near Castlebar in honour of the Taoiseach's recent visit to Chicago and Boston.

Mayo schools get Irish American Partnership funding
Taoiseach Enda Kenny, TD, has welcomed funding from the Irish American Partnership for five Mayo primary schools totalling $7,500. The five schools are all in the parish of Islandeady; namely, Cornanool, Cloggernagh, Cogaula, Glenisland, and Leitir.
