€50,000 funding for Áthas School in Kiltimagh

Mayo Fine Gael TD, John O’Mahony has welcomed the announcement that Mayo Autism Action, which is based in the Áthas school in Kiltimagh, has been granted €50,000 from the National Lottery and the Department of Health. The funding will go towards the cost of maintaining and extending the existing services. 

Said Deputy O'Mahony: "This is excellent news and an early Christmas present for an organisation that carries out such wonderful work in our community on a voluntary basis and have raised a large amount of money from the Croagh Patrick challenge.

“This funding from the National Lottery will them continue their work and indeed expand on it,” he added.
